Emirali is a grape variety obtained and registered by Tekirdağ Viticulture Research Institute Directorate through hybridization breeding method. In the study conducted in 2018 and 2019, modified atmosphere bag (MAP) and polyethylene bag (PE) were used as packaging material. The bunches were placed in bags as 5 kg in each repetition and double-release SO2 pads were placed in the package by adjusting the sulfur dioxide dose of 0.9 g/kg. Müşküle variety was used as the control variety. The prepared packages were stored in a normal atmosphere cold storage at 0-1 °C temperature and 90±5% relative humidity for 90 days. Physical and chemical analyzes were performed on the samples at 15-day intervals throughout the storage period. In the study, weight loss, titratable acidity, water soluble solids, maturity index, fruit hardness, berry stem breakage resistance, sensory analysis, decay rate, cluster rachis color and berry skin cracking rate analyses were performed. After storage, berry skin cracking was observed in Emirali grape variety. For this reason, it is thought that Emirali variety is not suitable for cold storage in Tekirdağ location conditions. It is recommended to conduct trials in locations with better sunlight, high day-night temperature difference, continental climate and to increase the resistance of berry skin to cracking, calcium supplement or applications supporting berry skin resistance are recommended.
